The Government of Saskatchewan is seeking a highly skilled and experienced leader to fill the role of Director, Extended Benefits and Client Service Unit. As a key member of the Drug Plan and Extended Benefits Branch, Ministry of Health, the successful candidate will be responsible for leading the development, implementation, and evaluation of policies and programs related to extended benefits and client service.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Policy Development: Develop and implement policies and procedures related to extended benefits and client service, ensuring alignment with provincial and national initiatives.
  2. Leadership and Management: Lead a team of policy analysts and client service staff, providing guidance and oversight to ensure effective and efficient service delivery.
  3. Operational Leadership: Oversee the planning, development, implementation, and evaluation of programs and services, driving excellence in achieving results.
  4. Partnership Management: Build and maintain partnerships with various stakeholders, including branches within the Ministry, service provider groups, and provincial and federal counterparts.
  5. Change Management: Lead the implementation of changes to policies, procedures, and programs, ensuring minimal disruption to service delivery.

Requirements:

  • Post-graduate degree: Business or public administration, health economics, or a related field.
  • Senior-level experience: Comparable field, with a strong background in policy development, leadership, and management.
  • Skills: Advanced analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain partnerships.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Equity group members: Aboriginal persons, persons with disabilities, visible minority persons, women in management or a non-traditional role.
