Accor is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Fairmont Gold Lounge Attendant to join our team at the Fairmont Chateau Laurier in Ottawa. As a key member of our hospitality team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our guests in the luxurious Fairmont Gold lounge.

Responsibilities:
  • Consistently offer professional, friendly, and engaging service to guests
  • Prepare and serve cocktails, coffees, teas, and other beverages to guests
  • Responsible for the setup and breakdown of all food and beverage presentations in the lounge
  • Assist guests with food and beverage menu items, including knowledge of menu items, garnishes, contents, and preparation methods
  • Ensure the lounge is well-maintained at all times and that the ambiance changes in the lounge from one food and beverage presentation to the next
  • Clearing dishes from guest tables and ensuring cleanliness of the lounge and service areas
  • Identify guest preferences and act on them to develop and maintain strong guest relationships
  • Effectively organize the Fairmont Gold pantry and storage areas to ensure efficiency
  • Assist with controlling inventory needed for Fairmont Gold pantry and storage areas
  • Create strong relationships with departments that support Fairmont Gold, primarily the culinary and stewarding departments
  • Ensure all Fairmont Chateau Laurier policies, procedures, and corporate Fairmont Gold standards are known, followed, and acted upon at all times
Requirements:
  • Food and Beverage serving experience required
  • Smart serve required
  • Excellent interpersonal and English/French communication skills
  • Must possess a professional presentation
  • Strong problem-solving abilities
  • Highly responsible and reliable
  • Bar tending skills an asset
Physical Aspects of Position:
  • Frequent standing and walking throughout shift
  • Frequent lifting and carrying up to 40 lbs
  • Occasional kneeling, pushing, pulling, lifting
  • Occasional ascending or descending ladders, stairs, and ramp
