Job Title: Fairmont Gold Lounge Attendant

Join our team at the Fairmont Chateau Laurier hotel in Ottawa, where we are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Fairmont Gold Lounge Attendant to provide exceptional service to our discerning guests.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a talented individual to join our team as a Fairmont Gold Lounge Attendant. As a key member of our Fairmont Gold team, you will be responsible for delivering personalized service to our guests, ensuring their stay with us is nothing short of exceptional.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide exceptional table service in the Fairmont Gold lounge, ensuring that every guest feels welcome and valued.
  • Prepare and serve cocktails, coffees, teas, and other beverages to our guests, using your knowledge of menu items, garnishes, and preparation methods.
  • Responsible for the set up and break down of all food and beverage presentations in the lounge, ensuring that every detail is attended to.
  • Assist guests with food and beverage menu items, providing recommendations and answering questions with confidence and expertise.
  • Clear dishes from guest tables and ensure the cleanliness of the lounge and service areas, maintaining a high level of attention to detail.
  • Identify guest preferences and act on them to develop and maintain strong guest relationships, ensuring Fairmont Gold loyalty.
  • Effectively organize the Fairmont Gold pantry and storage areas, ensuring efficiency and minimizing waste.
  • Assist with controlling inventory needed for Fairmont Gold pantry and storage areas, including food and liquor.
  • Create strong relationships with departments that support Fairmont Gold, primarily the culinary and stewarding departments.
  • Ensure that all Fairmont Chateau Laurier policies, procedures, and corporate Fairmont Gold standards are known, followed, and acted upon at all times.
  • Follow all safety and sanitation policies when handling food and beverage items, and adhere to all sustainability standards and initiatives.
Qualifications:
  • Food and Beverage serving experience required.
  • Smart serve certification required.
  • Excellent interpersonal and English/French communication skills.
  • Must possess a professional presentation.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities.
  • Highly responsible and reliable.
  • Bartending skills an asset.
Physical Aspects of Position:
  • Frequent standing and walking throughout shift.
  • Frequent lifting and carrying up to 40 lbs.
  • Occasional kneeling, pushing, pulling, lifting.
  • Occasional ascending or descending ladders, stairs, and ramp.
