Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Attendant of Distinction to join our team at Fairmont Gold Lounge. As a key member of our hospitality team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our guests, ensuring their stay with us is nothing short of unforgettable.

Key Responsibilities
  • Guest Service: Consistently offer professional, friendly, and engaging service to our guests, ensuring their needs are met and exceeded.
  • Table Service: Provide exceptional table service in the Fairmont Gold lounge, ensuring a seamless and enjoyable experience for our guests.
  • Cocktail Preparation: Prepare cocktails, coffees, teas, and other beverages to the highest standard, using only the finest ingredients.
  • Food and Beverage Presentation: Responsible for the set up and break down of all food and beverage presentations in the lounge, ensuring a visually appealing and appetizing experience for our guests.
  • Menu Knowledge: Assist guests regarding food and beverage menu items, having a thorough knowledge of all menu items, garnishes, contents, and preparation methods.
  • Lounge Maintenance: Ensure the lounge is well-maintained at all times, with attention to detail in ensuring the ambiance changes in the lounge from one food and beverage presentation to the next.
  • Inventory Management: Assist with controlling inventory needed for Fairmont Gold pantry and storage areas, ensuring efficiency and minimizing waste.
  • Relationship Building: Develop and maintain strong relationships with departments that support Fairmont Gold, primarily the culinary and stewarding departments.
  • Policy Adherence: Ensure all Fairmont Château Laurier policies, procedures, and corporate Fairmont Gold standards are known, followed, and acted upon at all times.
Requirements
  • Food and Beverage Experience: Food and beverage serving experience required, with a strong background in providing exceptional service.
  • Smart Serve Certification: Smart serve certification required, with a strong understanding of responsible serving practices.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent interpersonal and English/French communication skills, with a professional presentation.
  • Problem-Solving Abilities: Strong problem-solving abilities, with a focus on providing solutions that meet the needs of our guests.
  • Reliability and Responsibility: Highly responsible and reliable, with a strong work ethic and attention to detail.
Physical Aspects of the Position
  • Frequent Standing and Walking: Frequent standing and walking throughout shift, with occasional kneeling, pushing, pulling, lifting, and ascending or descending ladders, stairs, and ramp.
