Job Title: Fairmont Gold Lounge Attendant

Join our team at the Fairmont Chateau Laurier hotel in Ottawa, Canada, as we seek a skilled Fairmont Gold Lounge Attendant to provide exceptional service to our discerning guests.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced individual to join our team as a Fairmont Gold Lounge Attendant. As a key member of our Fairmont Gold team, you will be responsible for delivering personalized service to our guests, ensuring their stay with us is nothing short of exceptional.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide exceptional table service in the Fairmont Gold lounge, ensuring a warm and welcoming atmosphere for our guests.
  • Prepare and serve a variety of beverages, including cocktails, coffees, and teas, to our guests.
  • Responsible for the set up and break down of all food and beverage presentations in the lounge, ensuring a seamless and efficient service.
  • Assist guests with food and beverage menu items, providing expert knowledge and recommendations to enhance their dining experience.
  • Maintain a high level of attention to detail, ensuring the lounge is well-maintained and the ambiance is consistently exceptional.
  • Clear dishes from guest tables and ensure the cleanliness of the lounge and service areas.
  • Identify guest preferences and develop strong relationships to ensure Fairmont Gold loyalty.
  • Effectively organize the Fairmont Gold pantry and storage areas to ensure efficiency and minimize waste.
  • Assist with controlling inventory needed for Fairmont Gold pantry and storage areas.
  • Create strong relationships with departments that support Fairmont Gold, primarily the culinary and stewarding departments.
  • Ensure all Fairmont Chateau Laurier policies, procedures, and corporate Fairmont Gold standards are known, followed, and acted upon at all times.
  • Follow all safety and sanitation policies when handling food and beverage items.
  • Follow all sustainability standards and initiatives.
Requirements:
  • Food and Beverage serving experience required.
  • Smart serve certification required.
  • Excellent interpersonal and English/French communication skills.
  • Professional presentation and strong problem-solving abilities.
  • Highly responsible and reliable.
  • Bartending skills an asset.
Physical Aspects of Position:
  • Frequent standing and walking throughout shift.
  • Frequent lifting and carrying up to 40 lbs.
  • Occasional kneeling, pushing, pulling, lifting.
  • Occasional ascending or descending ladders, stairs, and ramp.
