Job Title: Fairmont Gold Lounge Attendant

Join our team at the Fairmont Chateau Laurier hotel in Ottawa, Canada, as a Fairmont Gold Lounge Attendant. As a key member of our hospitality team, you will provide exceptional service to our guests, ensuring their stay is memorable and enjoyable.

Responsibilities:
  • Offer professional, friendly, and engaging service to guests
  • Provide exceptional table service in the Fairmont Gold lounge
  • Prepare cocktails, coffees, teas, and other beverages for guests
  • Set up and break down food and beverage presentations in the lounge
  • Assist guests with food and beverage menu items, including knowledge of ingredients and preparation methods
  • Maintain the lounge's ambiance and cleanliness, ensuring a comfortable environment for guests
  • Clear dishes from guest tables and maintain the cleanliness of the lounge and service areas
  • Develop and maintain strong guest relationships to ensure Fairmont Gold loyalty
  • Organize the Fairmont Gold pantry and storage areas efficiently
  • Assist with inventory control for food and liquor
  • Build strong relationships with departments supporting Fairmont Gold, including culinary and stewarding
  • Ensure adherence to Fairmont Chateau Laurier policies, procedures, and corporate Fairmont Gold standards
  • Follow all safety and sanitation policies when handling food and beverage items
  • Follow all sustainability standards and initiatives
Requirements:
  • Food and Beverage serving experience required
  • Smart serve certification required
  • Excellent interpersonal and English/French communication skills
  • Professional presentation and strong problem-solving abilities
  • Highly responsible and reliable
  • Bar tending skills an asset
Physical Aspects of the Position:
  • Frequent standing and walking throughout shift
  • Frequent lifting and carrying up to 40 lbs
  • Occasional kneeling, pushing, pulling, lifting
  • Occasional ascending or descending ladders, stairs, and ramp
