Substance Use Therapist, Mental Health Specialist
Job Summary:As a Substance Use Therapist, Mental Health Specialist, you will provide evidence-based treatment and support to individuals and families affected by substance use and mental health disorders. You will work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams to assess, plan, and implement treatment plans that promote recovery and well-being.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide initial screenings and assessments to determine treatment needs and priorities.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with clients, families, and interdisciplinary teams.
- Provide evidence-based therapy, counseling, and case management services to clients and families.
- Liaise with community resources, service providers, and healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care and support.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records, progress notes, and reports in accordance with established standards and policies.
- Master's degree in a relevant field, such as counseling, social work, or a related field.
- Two years of recent experience working with clients and families affected by substance use and mental health disorders.
- Eligibility for registration with a relevant professional association.
- Valid driver's license and access to a personal vehicle for work-related purposes.
