About the Role

As a Labour Relations Business Partner at EVRAZ North America, you will play a crucial part in fostering positive labour relations and ensuring compliance with labour laws and regulations. This pivotal role requires a strong understanding of labour relations and the ability to build strong relationships with various stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough investigations into employee complaints or allegations of unfair labor practices, ensuring compliance with company policies and applicable laws.
  • Develop and implement training programs to educate management and employees on labour relations topics, promoting understanding and adherence to labour laws and regulations.
  • Collaborate with HR manager, operational leaders, and union representatives to build strong relationships and drive positive change.
  • Administer collective agreements, grievances, and issue management, ensuring compliance with labour laws and regulations.
  • Provide guidance on labour relations topics, including collective bargaining, union/management relations, performance management, and conflict resolution processes.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of Labour Relations work experience, preferably within a manufacturing or heavy industrial environment.
  • 3+ years of experience administering a range of Labour Relations activities, including collective agreement administration, grievance and issue management, collective bargaining, union/management relations, performance management, and conflict resolution processes.
  • Bachelor's Degree in human resources, organizational development, management, or a related field, supplemented by a specialized program or courses in labour relations or equivalent.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively communicate with employees, union representatives, and senior leaders.
