About Olds College of Agriculture & Technology

We are seeking students to work as peer tutors in the Learning Commons (library) during the 2024-2025 school year. This position is only available to students currently enrolled in Olds College programming.

Responsibilities of the peer tutor include meeting with students to assist with their learning and understanding of course content, concepts, and comprehension. Peer tutoring may occur on a one-on-one or small group basis, as required. Peer tutors are also required to complete reporting/data collection regarding tutoring hours.

The successful candidate will have demonstrated mastery in a subject area or course, as well as a recommendation from an instructor. The candidate will report to the Manager, Student Experience and Educational Design, but may also collaborate with the instructor(s) from time-to-time.

Peer Tutors will also act ethically, openly, honestly, and respectfully to build and maintain an environment of trust, safety, and well-being.
