**The Opportunity - Manager, Student Health & Wellness**
- The Manager, Student Health & Wellness is responsible for coordinating the on campus delivery of holistic health and wellness services including counselling, and health care services. In addition, the manager is responsible for developing, documenting, and implementing a Mental Health Strategy for Olds College. The manager also generates a number of reports for both internal and external audiences according to established deadlines.

In order to be successful, the Manager will naturally collaborate across the organization and with strategic partners in order to fulfill this mandate.

**Key Job Functions**:
- Provide day-to-day oversight to a diverse team of Health & Wellness Service Providers that include Olds College staff (Admin support, Counsellors, and Nurses) as well as external providers (Physicians, Contract Nurses, Physiotherapists and Massage Therapists);-
- Coordinate and develop programming including workshops, events and training opportunities in response to student mental health and wellness needs, following from among other drivers, grant requirements;-
- Participates on Sexual Violence Response Team, Emergency Response Team and any others in relation to grant deliverables;-
- Serves on GoA sponsored committees and task forces as required;-
- Coordinate campus communications relating to health and wellness issues;-
- Ensure that health and behavior issues requiring escalation to third parties are transitioned effectively with the care and support for the student being the foremost priority, and while considering the College obligations and risk/liability;-
- Responsible for reporting related to various grant usage;-
- Participate in institutional, regional, and provincial coordination and support committees; and-
- Stay informed of emerging trends and issues relating to student health and wellness.**The Manager is also expected to**:
- Align with and support Accessibility Services, as needed, as they ensure that campus is informed on risks, responses and duty to accommodate; and-
- Align with and support the Coordinator, Indigenous Services in their related activities as needed.**Education/Experience/Skills/Knowledge Required**:
- A related Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) is preferred; equivalent combinations of education and work experience will be considered;-
- 3-5 years of supervising others is preferred;-
- Computer literacy required;-
- Excellent interpersonal skills;-
- Displays a positive and enthusiastic attitude, non-threatening and non-judgmental approach;-
- Excellent ability to prepare and deliver oral presentations before small, medium and large groups;-
- Ability to manage stress and time pressures while maintaining a good working attitude;-
- Ability to be firm and compassionate when working with students and parents;-
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment;-
- Operate with integrity and a strong sense of ethics in all decisions and actions;-
