Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) to join our dynamic team at the 9 East Nephrology Unit. As an RPN on this unit, you will be responsible for providing high-quality nursing care to patients with complex medical needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care, including administering medications, performing routine procedures, and monitoring patient vital signs.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement comprehensive care plans that address the physical, emotional, and social needs of patients.
  • Utilize computerized systems to document patient information, track progress, and communicate with healthcare teams.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and satisfaction.
Requirements
  • Diploma in Registered Practical Nursing from a recognized institution.
  • Current registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
  • Minimum one year of recent medical experience, preferably in nephrology.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities.

Location and Hours of Work

This role is based at Humber River Health's Wilson Site, with rotating shifts, 8 or 12 hours, days/evenings/nights/weekends.
