We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Practical Nurse to join our dynamic team at the Humber River Health Wilson Site. As part of our Haemodialysis Unit, Nephrology Program, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the lives of our patients.

About the Role:

  • ">
  • You will provide exceptional patient care, focusing on all aspects of hemodialysis with a primary nursing approach.">
  • Deliver education and follow-up to all hemodialysis patients, ensuring their needs are met and they receive the best possible care.">
  • Contribute to quality assurance activities, driving excellence in patient outcomes.">
  • You will also be responsible for other RPN duties as set by the department.">

What We Offer:

We offer a competitive salary range of $36,929 - $37,466, commensurate with experience. Our benefits package includes opportunities for professional growth and development, a collaborative work environment, and a comprehensive safety program.

Requirements:

">
  • ">
  • A graduate of a recognized Registered Practical Nursing two-year diploma program.">
  • Current RPN registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario.">
  • Current BCLS certification.">
  • Minimum one year acute Medical/Surgical experience is required.">
  • Minimum one to two years Hemodialysis experience is preferred.">
  • Nephrology courses or commitment to complete within an agreed period are advantageous.">
  • Demonstrated competency in various skills, including intramuscular injections, IV therapy initiation and discontinuation, blood transfusion, wound care dressing, medication administration, etc.">
  • Ability to prioritize assignments in a reasonable timeframe.">
  • Sound judgment, good observation and patient assessment skills, tact, and empathy.">
  • Ability to perform appropriately in emergency situations.">
  • Proven ability to perform a preceptorship role.">
  • Physically capable of performing the essential duties of the position.">
  • Understanding of and commitment to Humber's comprehensive safety programs and practices.">
  • Effective interpersonal and communication skills.">
  • Knowledge of a second language is an asset.">
  • Basic computer skills and Meditech experience are beneficial.">
  • Excellent attendance and discipline-free record are required.">
