Job Summary

We are currently seeking a skilled Registered Practical Nurse to join our Home Haemodialysis Program as a Nurse Specialist. In this role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional care to patients receiving hemodialysis, while also participating in quality assurance activities and contributing to the growth and development of the program.

Responsibilities
  • Provide primary nursing care to patients receiving hemodialysis, including education and follow-up support
  • Participate in quality assurance activities to ensure the highest standards of patient care
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of program strategies to improve patient outcomes
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to achieve shared goals and objectives
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • A graduate degree in Registered Practical Nursing from a recognized institution
  • Current RPN registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario
  • Minimum one year acute medical/surgical experience, required
  • Minimum one to two years hemodialysis experience, required
  • Nephrology courses preferred or commitment to complete within an agreed period of time

The estimated salary for this role is $37,092 - $37,466 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.
