About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Cook to join our team at Peter's Family Restaurant. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of dishes to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Menu Planning: Plan and prepare menus that meet the needs of our customers, taking into account dietary requirements and preferences.
  • Cooking and Preparation: Prepare and cook a wide range of dishes, including soups, salads, and main courses, using fresh and high-quality ingredients.
  • Food Safety and Hygiene: Maintain the highest standards of food safety and hygiene in the kitchen, ensuring that all food is handled, stored, and cooked safely.
  • Team Leadership: Supervise and train kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to ensure that they are able to perform their duties to the highest standards.
  • Inventory Management: Manage kitchen inventory, ordering supplies and equipment as needed to ensure that the kitchen is well-stocked and efficient.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years
  • Skills: Excellent cooking skills, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and strong leadership and communication skills.
Working Conditions

The successful candidate will be required to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment, with regular exposure to heat, noise, and physical activity. A high level of physical fitness is required, as well as the ability to stand for long periods and lift heavy objects.
