Job Title: Sous Chef

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sous Chef to join our team at Doc's Restaurant & Pub Ltd. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for assisting the Executive Chef in the preparation and presentation of our menu items.

Job Summary:

The Sous Chef will be responsible for:

  • Assisting the Executive Chef in the preparation and presentation of menu items
  • Overseeing the kitchen staff and ensuring that all food is prepared to a high standard
  • Managing inventory and ordering supplies as needed
  • Ensuring that the kitchen is clean and organized at all times
  • Assisting with menu planning and development
Responsibilities:

The Sous Chef will be responsible for:

  • Preparing and cooking food on a regular basis, or for special guests or functions
  • Preparing and cooking meals or specialty foods
  • Working in a fast-paced environment and meeting deadlines
  • Being organized and able to multitask
  • Working as part of a team and communicating effectively with colleagues
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a similar role
  • No degree, certificate or diploma required
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
