Job Title: Sous Chef

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sous Chef to join our team at Doc's Restaurant & Pub Ltd. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for assisting the Executive Chef in the preparation and presentation of our menu items.

Job Summary:

The Sous Chef will be responsible for:

  • Assisting the Executive Chef in menu planning, food preparation, and presentation
  • Supervising kitchen staff and ensuring that all food safety and sanitation standards are met
  • Managing inventory and ordering supplies as needed
  • Coordinating with the Executive Chef to ensure that all menu items are prepared to the highest standard
Responsibilities:

The Sous Chef will be responsible for:

  • Preparing and cooking food on a regular basis, or for special guests or functions
  • Preparing and cooking meals or specialty foods
  • Ensuring that all food is prepared to the highest standard and presented in a visually appealing manner
  • Managing kitchen staff and ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a similar role
  • Excellent culinary skills and knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
