Richmond, British Columbia, Canada PetSmart Full time

About Our Stores:

We're a community of pet lovers working together to help pets and their parents find the best solutions. As a Pet Care Specialist, you'll be part of this team, using your passion for pets and our education to become a trusted partner for families at every stage of their pet's life.

Our stores offer a wide range of opportunities, from customer service to pet care and merchandising. You may be cross-trained in several areas, including:

  • Customer Service: Create sincere connections with pet parents, welcome them to the store, facilitate easy checkout processes, and ensure they found everything they needed.
  • Pet Care: Ensure the safety and well-being of all living pets in our stores, including fish, reptiles, birds, and small animals. Engage with pet parents to provide them with the best solutions specifically for their pets.
  • Merchandising & Inventory: Help pet parents find exactly what they need, when they need it, by executing on merchandising, stocking, and pricing strategies.

About Your Career:

With PetSmart, you'll have opportunities to:

  • Gain experience in different business units, from the store to the salon or Pets Hotel
  • Develop leadership skills as a Department or Assistant Manager role
  • Tackle the challenge of a new store opening
  • Transfer to any one of our 1,600 stores nationwide

The Warm and Fuzzies:

While we've highlighted job responsibilities, the best parts of working at PetSmart can't be fully described in a job description. It's the excitement you feel when helping a little one pick out their first fish. The relief Rosie feels when you help her mom select the best food for her upset tummy. The pride of giving Mickey a makeover in our salons, watching him strut his stuff on the way out. The joy of reuniting Frankie with her family after a fun stay in our Pets Hotel.

The British Columbia pay range for this position is approximately $19.30-$29.15 per hour, based on position and experience level. This position is paid on an hourly basis, with no instances of paying less than minimum wage.
