Veterinarian Team Lead, Animal Care and Medicine Expert

At VetCare Canada Inc., we're dedicated to providing exceptional animal care and medicine. As a Veterinarian Team Lead, you'll play a vital role in ensuring our high standards are met.
Salary: $150,000-$175,000 CAD annually, with opportunities for bonuses and discretionary salary increases based on company policy and performance.
Job Description:
You will be responsible for leading a team of veterinarians and supporting staff to provide top-notch care to animals. Your duties will include:
* Examining, diagnosing, and treating diseases or abnormal conditions in individual animals
* Prescribing and administering animal medications and vaccines
* Taking cell and tissue samples and performing diagnostic tests
Veterinary Responsibilities:
We expect you to approach each animal with kindness, compassion, and patience, creating a safe and secure environment for them. You will also:
* Build positive client relationships through exceptional customer service, remaining calm in all circumstances and displaying genuine care and compassion towards clients and their pets
* Vaccinate animals to prevent and treat diseases, adhering to the Practice's systems and guidelines
Required Skills and Qualifications:
To succeed in this role, you must have a 4-5 year university degree in veterinary medicine, as well as any required pre-veterinary studies for the university program, if applicable. You should also hold a provincial license to practice in British Columbia or be able to obtain one. Experience as a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine, including a minimum of 1 year in a leadership and/or supervisory role, is essential.
