Job Overview

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for assessing children's development and creating personalized learning plans tailored to their needs. They will develop and implement programs that support physical, cognitive, emotional, and social growth, synthesizing information about each child and communicating with parents regularly.

Main Responsibilities
  • Create individualized learning plans based on thorough assessments of children's developmental needs
  • Develop and implement engaging programs to promote children's overall growth and well-being
  • Synthesize detailed information about each child's progress and communicate effectively with parents
  • Lead interactive activities such as storytelling, singing, and outings to local attractions
  • Support children in developing healthy habits including eating, dressing, and toileting
  • Maintain accurate records of children's progress, identifying potential issues and preparing reports for parents or supervisors
  • Participate in staff meetings to discuss children's progress and address any challenges
  • Build strong relationships with colleagues and community service providers working with children
  • Establish a safe and nurturing environment that prioritizes children's health and well-being
  • Plan activities for school-age children before and after regular school hours
Requirements
  • Early Childhood Education (ECE) Certificate required
  • First Aid Certificate essential
  • Permanent work arrangement

Compensation Package

This role comes with an estimated annual salary of $65,000 - $80,000 depending on qualifications and experience. The salary range reflects industry standards and takes into account the requirements of this role within the province where the job is located.
