Job Summary

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Student Engagement Coordinator/Administrative Assistant to join our team at Compass Canada. As a key member of our team, you will provide administrative support to ensure the efficient operation of our site.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide clerical and administrative support to ensure the smooth operation of the site
  • Develop and implement strategies to enhance student involvement and engagement within the food service department
  • Provide administrative support to the food service department, including managing correspondence, maintaining records, and organizing meetings
  • Serve as a liaison between the food service department, students, faculty, staff, and campus administration
  • Oversee general operation of the unit office to include upkeep of operating cost records, associate files, compliance, record retention, and organization and filing of records and other operational supporting documentation
  • Answer telephones and direct inquiries in a professional manner
  • Maintain confidential personnel files
  • Assist management staff in preparing confidential employment documents
  • Open and route incoming mail, answer correspondence, and prepare outgoing mail
  • Assist with staffing, including finding staff when employees call out on short notice

Requirements:

  • Post-secondary education in Office Administration, and/or one to two years of office administration experience
  • Strong verbal and written skills, with an ability to maintain good relationships with suppliers, staff, clients
  • Strong computer skills and ability to learn various software programs quickly
  • Ability to adapt to a changing and fast-paced environment
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Ability to meet strict deadlines and take direction/feedback
  • Microsoft Office proficiency
