About the Role
As a Program Clerical Support at Southlake Regional Health Centre, you will be a vital member of our Patient Access team. Your primary responsibilities will include providing exceptional customer service to patients and internal customers, working collaboratively with care providers, and performing various clerical duties such as reception, patient scheduling, and word processing.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide first contact for patients and internal customers, responding to inquiries and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
- Work collaboratively with care providers to ensure seamless patient flow and efficient use of resources.
- Perform various clerical duties, including reception, patient scheduling, and word processing, with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Develop and maintain effective relationships with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure a positive and supportive environment.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and experience.
Requirements
- Grade 12 diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum one year of clerical duties in an acute care healthcare environment.
- Knowledge of outpatient clinics and procedures.
- Effective time management and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities.
- Demonstrated ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Commitment to providing exceptional customer service and teamwork.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
Preferred Qualifications
- Diploma in Medical Office Administration or relevant post-secondary diploma from an accredited academic institution.
- Medical terminology knowledge.
