Staff Scheduler

The Staff Scheduler plays a vital role in maintaining schedules for various departments at Southlake Regional Health Centre. Reporting to the Manager/Delegate, this position is responsible for ensuring that schedules are up-to-date and meet operational needs. This includes filling short call needs, processing approved time off requests, and coordinating overall scheduling.
Key Responsibilities- Maintain accurate and up-to-date schedules for various departments
- Fill short call needs and process approved time off requests
- Coordinate overall scheduling to meet operational needs
- Support the Manager/Delegate in ensuring timecard accuracy
To be successful in this role, you will require:
- A minimum of 1 year experience with scheduling in a unionized hospital environment
- Experience in computerized scheduling and payroll
- Demonstrated proficiency in other computer programs, such as Windows XP, Microsoft Word, and Excel
- Ability to work in a multi-task environment and deal with frequent interruptions
- Effective organization, prioritization, and time management skills
- Demonstrated excellence in communication, both written and verbal
- Demonstrated problem assessment skills
- Commitment to customer service and teamwork
- Commitment to providing an exceptional experience for patients and families
A High School Degree is required, with a Community College diploma preferred.
