Job Summary

The City of Calgary is seeking a highly skilled Document and Records Management Specialist to lead the Infrastructure Services departmental Document and Records program. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for managing the department's documents and records systems, ensuring compliance with corporate standards, Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy (FOIP) policies, and records management legislation.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop and implement the department's documents and records management program, ensuring consistency and efficiency across all groups in the IS department.
- Provide guidance and training to Infrastructure Services employees on documents and records policies and procedures.
- Supervise a team of specialists, oversee internal policies and procedures, lead internal initiatives and special projects, and provide training and guidance on records management.

Requirements

- A completed 2-year diploma and at least 8 years of document and records management experience, OR a degree plus at least 4 years of document and records management experience.
- Equivalent combinations of experience and education may be considered.
- Training in Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy (FOIP) for local government bodies is an asset.

What We Offer

The City of Calgary offers a competitive salary range of $83,059 - $125,413 per annum, a 5-day work week with 1 day off in a 3-week cycle, and a standard 35-hour work week. We also offer a comprehensive benefits package, including pension and health benefits.
