Job Summary
The Team Lead, Document and Records will be responsible for managing the Infrastructure Services (IS) departmental Document and Records program within corporate standards. This includes designing, developing, implementing, and maintaining department records and documents systems, ensuring business units adhere to Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy (FOIP) and records management policies and legislation, including retention and disposition of both physical and electronic records.
Main Responsibilities
- Develop and implement the departmental documents and records management program, ensuring consistency and efficiency across all groups in the IS department through regular reporting and communication with Leadership.
- Initiate, lead, and implement various documents and records-related initiatives, changes, and improvements to achieve departmental goals and improve customer service.
- Supervise the Document and Records team, providing guidance, direction, support, and coverage to team members.
- Provide training and guidance to Infrastructure Services employees on documents and records policies and procedures.
- Act as the departmental FOIP program administrator, monitoring and coordinating responses to all inquiries.
Requirements
- A completed 2-year diploma and at least 8 years of document and records management experience, OR a degree plus at least 4 years of document and records management experience.
- Equivalent combinations of experience and education may be considered.
- Training in Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy (FOIP) for local government bodies is an asset.
- Knowledge of records management, information, and security classification; managing electronic records within Canada's standards, laws, and governmental systems are assets.
Compensation and Benefits
This permanent position comes with a competitive salary range of $83,059 - $125,413 per annum, based on location and level of experience.
