About the Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized individual to join our Recreation Therapy/Adult Day Services department as a Program Coordinator (PC I). As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for planning, developing, implementing, and evaluating recreational/leisure programs that support the health and well-being of residents/clients in residential, acute, and adult day program settings.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan, develop, and implement recreational/leisure programs that meet the needs of residents/clients
  • Supervise up to four Activity Worker II positions and provide direction to designated volunteers
  • Carry out therapeutic components of a resident's care plan under the clinical direction of a Recreation Therapist or designated professional
  • Assist with monitoring patients'/residents' progression
  • Provide support and guidance to team members as needed
Requirements:
  • Graduation from a recognized recreational program plus one year's recent, related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
  • Valid Class IV vehicle license (or willingness to obtain within the first six months of hire)
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing
  • Ability to organize work and supervise others
  • Physical ability to carry out the duties of the position
  • Ability to deal with others effectively and operate related equipment
