Job Overview

This role involves collaboration with colleagues and academic partners to develop, plan, implement, manage, and assess program review and quality assurance initiatives. The decisions made in this position significantly influence the operations of the Division and the College, with accountability to both internal and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

Project Management
  1. Collaborate with the Academic Planning and Quality Assurance liaison and other relevant College stakeholders to implement program review and quality assurance systems, ensuring proper monitoring and documentation.
  2. Track and report on project progress.
  3. Engage with departmental programs (dean, associate dean, program coordinators, faculty) to establish and oversee course and program review initiatives.
  4. Facilitate orientation sessions, educate stakeholders, and provide guidance on related processes and procedures.
  5. Establish and maintain a record-keeping system to support Program Review and Quality Assurance initiatives.
  6. Coordinate the approval process for new, expedited, and/or modified academic programs in accordance with EDCO policy, ensuring timely progress with program contacts.
Data Analysis
  1. Work with Institutional Research to gather and analyze program data.
  2. Conduct needs assessments and environmental scans.
  3. Facilitate the collection of feedback from students regarding courses and programs.
  4. Analyze feedback data and summarize key insights.
  5. Prepare summary reports on past course and program reviews.
Communication and Liaison
  1. Initiate communication with academic departments regarding program review processes and timelines.
  2. Provide written and verbal updates on project status.
  3. Draft data analysis reports to inform program review decision-making.
  4. Coordinate with external entities regarding program review processes, timelines, and necessary documentation (program review committees, accreditation bodies, etc.).
  5. Address inquiries from faculty and staff involved in program review and/or accreditation.
  6. Maintain operating procedures, manuals, and policies to ensure compliance with Program Review and Quality Assurance standards.
  7. Update and maintain detailed Course, Program, and Quality Assurance Templates.
  8. Ensure that the College website reflects current and accessible information regarding EDCO approved program review and quality assurance materials.
Additional Duties
  1. Manage various special assignments independently.
  2. Participate in internal and external meetings, providing guidance to partners on vision, direction, and opportunities, as well as internal and external policies affecting the work.
  3. Contribute to a team dedicated to achieving the College's vision, mission, and goals while supporting the aspirations and needs of learners and communities.
  4. Foster a positive work environment and communicate professionally, demonstrating respect for all members of the College community.
  5. Perform other duties as assigned by the Supervisor.

Qualifications

  1. Bachelor's degree (or higher) in business or education (curriculum), or a degree/diploma in another field with additional education in curriculum, quality assurance processes, and/or project management, or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
  2. 3 to 5 years of experience in project management, policy development, and quality assurance processes implementation.
  3. Exceptional oral and written communication skills; demonstrated writing proficiency is required.
  4. Strong understanding of quality assurance processes.
  5. Ability to manage multiple projects within established timelines.
  6. Proven capability to effectively manage resources for project completion.
  7. Experience collaborating with industry/business/community partners in education/training.
  8. Familiarity with industry, business, and community resources.
  9. Strong problem-solving skills, including the ability to address various unusual conditions through analytical thinking and information development.
  10. Demonstrated organizational and supervisory skills.
  11. Ability to handle continuous interruptions and coordinate activities within the unit's work.
  12. Capacity to work independently and meet demanding schedules and deadlines.
  13. Proven ability to maintain positive working relationships (internally and externally) in a challenging environment, exercising tact and diplomacy.
  14. Strong investigative and research skills.
  15. Proficient in utilizing appropriate technological resources.
