Position Title: Program Development Coordinator

Overview:

This role is pivotal in the realm of program management and quality assurance within the College of New Caledonia. Reporting directly to the Dean of Teaching & Learning, the incumbent will collaborate with academic partners and colleagues to spearhead the development, planning, execution, administration, and evaluation of program review and quality assurance initiatives.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Project Leadership:
    • Collaborate with the Academic Planning and Quality Assurance liaison to implement program review and quality assurance frameworks, ensuring thorough monitoring and documentation.
    • Document and report on the progress of quality assurance projects.
    • Engage with departmental programs to establish and oversee reviews of programs, courses, and curricula.
    • Facilitate orientation sessions and provide essential guidance on related processes and procedures.
    • Maintain a comprehensive record-keeping system to support Program Review and Quality Assurance Processes.
  • Data Management:
    • Work alongside Institutional Research to gather and analyze program-related data.
    • Conduct needs assessments and environmental scans.
    • Facilitate the collection of feedback from students regarding courses and programs.
    • Analyze feedback data and compile key findings into summary reports.
    • Prepare summaries of previous course, program, and curriculum reviews.
  • Communication:
    • Engage with academic departments concerning program review processes and timelines.
    • Provide regular written and oral updates on project status.
    • Consult on data analysis reports to inform program review decisions.
    • Communicate with external entities regarding program review requirements and documentation.
    • Address inquiries from faculty and staff involved in program review and accreditation processes.
    • Ensure that operating procedures, manuals, and policies align with Program Review and Quality Assurance standards.
    • Update and maintain detailed templates for courses, programs, and quality assurance.
  • Additional Duties:
    • Independently manage a variety of special assignments.
    • Participate in internal and external meetings, advising partners on vision, direction, and policies affecting the work.
    • Contribute to a collaborative team environment focused on achieving the College's mission and supporting the needs of learners and communities.
    • Foster a positive workplace atmosphere through professional communication and mutual respect.
    • Perform other duties as assigned by the Supervisor.

Qualifications:
  • A Bachelor's degree or higher in project management, business, education (curriculum), or a related field.
  • A minimum of three years of experience in project management and quality assurance implementation.
  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills, with a demonstrated ability in writing.
  • Strong understanding of quality assurance processes.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects within specified timeframes.
  • Experience in effectively managing resources for project completion.
  • Demonstrated experience collaborating with industry, business, and community partners in education and training.
  • Familiarity with industry, business, and community resources.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, including the ability to address complex issues analytically.
  • Proven organizational and supervisory skills.
  • Ability to handle continuous interruptions and coordinate activities effectively.
  • Capacity to work independently while meeting demanding schedules and deadlines.
  • Proven ability to maintain positive relationships in a challenging environment, exercising tact and diplomacy.
  • Strong investigative and research skills.
  • Proficiency in utilizing relevant technological resources.
