Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Unit Clerk to join our team at Pan Am Clinic. As a Unit Clerk, you will play a vital role in providing administrative support to our healthcare team, ensuring the smooth operation of our medical office.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide exceptional customer service to patients, families, and healthcare staff
  • Manage and maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records
  • Coordinate and schedule appointments, procedures, and tests
  • Process and manage medical billing and insurance claims
  • Assist with clinical tasks, such as preparing medical equipment and supplies
  • Communicate effectively with healthcare staff, patients, and families
  • Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary education in a related field an asset
  • Minimum 1-2 years of experience in a medical office or healthcare setting
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and electronic medical records systems
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
