Job Title: Unit Clerk
Department: Outpatient Clinic Program
Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Unit Clerk to join our team. The successful candidate will perform a variety of clerical tasks, provide supportive functions for patients and staff, and ensure the care and comfort of patients in a clinical environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform clerical tasks, including data entry and record-keeping
- Provide supportive functions for patients and staff, including answering phones and responding to inquiries
- Ensure the care and comfort of patients, including maintaining a clean and safe clinical environment
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to provide high-quality patient care
Qualifications:
- Successful completion of a recognized Health Unit Clerk course
- Basic computer skills
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, such as pushing carts with patient charts
- Satisfactory employment record
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing situations
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience in an ambulatory clinic or in-patient care setting
