Job Summary:

Southbridge Care Homes is seeking a caring and enthusiastic Activity Aide to join our team at Pinecrest. As an Activity Aide, you will play a vital role in bringing joy and fun to our residents by assisting with the facilitation of different activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare for activities and assist residents to activity areas.
  • Assist residents during activities and report any significant changes to the Supervisor and nursing staff as appropriate.
  • Maintain program and resident records according to department policy.
  • Collaborate with other departments to meet resident needs.

Requirements:

  • Post-secondary diploma or degree in recreation and leisure studies, therapeutic recreation, or a related field.
  • Passion for helping others and the ability to bring fun and joy to all tasks.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Bilingual - English/French required.
  • Knowledge of and/or experience in working with senior populations.
