Job Summary:
We are seeking a caring and enthusiastic Activity Aide to join our team at Southbridge Care Homes. As an Activity Aide, you will play a vital role in enhancing the lives of our residents by planning and implementing engaging activities that promote socialization, recreation, and overall well-being.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement activity programs that cater to the diverse interests and needs of our residents.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure seamless delivery of care and services.
- Assist residents with daily activities, such as preparing for events and providing support during activities.
- Maintain accurate records of resident participation and program evaluation.
- Work closely with other departments to meet resident needs and promote a positive living environment.
Requirements:
- Post-secondary diploma or degree in recreation and leisure studies, therapeutic recreation, or a related field.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse populations.
- Bilingual - English / French required.
- Knowledge of and/or experience in working with senior populations, with a focus on promoting independence and dignity.
