Job Summary
The Human Resources Advisor will provide support to various departments, while taking on specific files and follow-ups under the supervision of the Human Resources Supervisor.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, coordinate, implement, and actively participate in the recruitment process (selection, hiring, and onboarding of candidates) and ensure its follow-up, while respecting policies and collective agreements in effect.
- Identify and implement strategies for recruiting and retaining talented candidates for various services within the organization.
- Coordinate, assist, and ensure follow-ups related to labor relations files (i.e., disciplinary measures, grievances).
- Manage administrative files for short-term and long-term disabilities, as well as workers' compensation files (WSIB), including the accommodation aspect, as needed.
- Plan, coordinate, and implement an annual action plan related to employee health and safety (i.e., job-related risks, ergonomics, injury prevention, etc.), in partnership with managers and members of the joint health and safety committees.
- Perform tasks related to payroll.
- Participate in the application of remuneration programs, social benefits, and pension plans.
- Manage the financial aspect of the OMERS pension plan (redemptions, terminations, equivalence factor data, contributions, annual report).
- Review and develop, as applicable, human resources-related policies.
- Write documents, letters, and forms.
- Participate in various committees and working groups where human resources expertise could be beneficial and/or necessary.
- Engage in departmental activities and participate in organizational projects with minimal supervision.
- Any other related and complementary tasks.
Requirements and Qualifications
- Three (3) to five (5) years of experience in human resources or payroll management, preferably in a unionized organization.
- Excellent technological skills, including Microsoft Office 365.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in English and French.
- Experience or knowledge of human resources information system principles is an asset.
- Knowledge of ADP is an asset.
- Diploma in college studies completed in administration or another field related to the position.

Flexible schedule according to the needs of the position - Monday to Friday
