Job Title: Area Sales Manager

Scotiabank is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Area Sales Manager to join our team in Manitoba Region. As a key member of our Sales department, you will be responsible for driving business growth and ensuring the success of our Sales team in the region.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Champion a customer-focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems, and knowledge.
  • Pursue a business development program within the assigned market area of dealers according to the agreed-upon growth objectives.
  • Ensure all aspects of assigned dealers receive ongoing attention to achieve dealer satisfaction.
  • Understand how the Bank's risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions.
  • Actively pursue effective and efficient operations of his/her respective areas, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to, and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls.
  • Champion a high-performance environment and implement a people strategy that attracts, retains, develops, and motivates their team.
Requirements:
  • Completion of a post-secondary education (college or university) or equivalent experience preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in a sales capacity. Direct experience in prime or non-prime finance preferred.
  • Functional knowledge of MS Word, Excel, credit decisioning, contract management, customer relationship management, and/or loan application software relative to the business line.
  • Valid driver's license.
Working Conditions:
  • Work in a standard office-based environment; non-standard hours are a common occurrence.
  • Extensive travel domestically as well as limited national travel.
