Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Business Development Coordinator to join our team at ComForCare Home Health Care - Halton. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing our marketing program and business development initiatives, establishing and maintaining relationships with customers and referral sources, and negotiating contracts with third-party payers and government agencies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage marketing operations and establish and implement marketing initiatives to meet agency goals.
  • Negotiate contracts with managed care companies, government agencies, and other payers to ensure optimal reimbursement.
  • Establish systems for consistent market assessment and develop a marketing plan to meet agency goals.
  • Establish and maintain mutually beneficial working relationships with current and potential referral sources and payers.
  • Negotiate pricing with insurance case managers and other payers within acceptable standards of practice.
  • Participate with management team in strategic planning activities to identify opportunities to improve services and better meet customer needs.
  • Maintain comprehensive knowledge of the Agency's markets, key referral sources, and position in the market related to competitors.
  • Develop and maintain information on available community resources and assist customers and staff in accessing services or information.
  • Participate in the annual Agency evaluation in areas of marketing, program development, growth, and expectations.
  • Prepare reports of marketing activities and effectiveness.
  • Work collaboratively with clinical staff to assure consistent message to customers and the community.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in business or related field.
  • Previous experience in healthcare management or marketing, preferably in home health care.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of regulatory requirements and restrictions in home health services.
  • Demonstrated supervisory and negotiation skills.
  • Excellent verbal, written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated organizational skills, flexibility, assertiveness, and team orientation.
