Job Title: Construction Project Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled Construction Project Manager to join our team at JK Capital Management Inc.

Job Summary:

The Construction Project Manager will be responsible for overseeing the construction process from start to finish, ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Estimate costs and materials: Conduct thorough cost estimates and material requirements for each project.
  • Oversee apprenticeship training: Supervise and coordinate apprenticeship training programs to ensure that workers are properly trained and equipped to perform their duties.
  • Prepare bids: Prepare and submit bids for construction projects, taking into account factors such as cost, time, and quality.
  • Prepare production and other reports: Prepare regular reports on project progress, including production reports, quality control reports, and other relevant information.
  • Recruit and hire workers and carry out related staffing actions: Recruit, hire, and manage a team of construction workers, including coordinating staffing actions and ensuring that workers are properly trained and equipped.
  • Co-ordinate and schedule activities: Coordinate and schedule construction activities, including ensuring that workers are properly assigned to tasks and that projects are completed on time.
  • Co-ordinate work activities with other project supervisors or managers: Collaborate with other project supervisors and managers to ensure that construction activities are properly coordinated and that projects are completed efficiently.
  • Ensure health and safety regulations are followed: Ensure that all construction activities are conducted in accordance with health and safety regulations, including conducting regular safety inspections and implementing safety protocols as needed.
  • Establish methods to meet work schedules: Establish methods to ensure that construction projects are completed on time, including developing project schedules and coordinating with workers to meet deadlines.
  • Manage own company: Manage the company's construction operations, including overseeing the construction process, managing budgets, and ensuring that projects are completed to the required quality standards.
  • Read blueprints and drawings: Read and interpret blueprints and drawings to ensure that construction projects are completed according to plan.
  • Recommend personnel actions: Recommend personnel actions, including promotions, transfers, and disciplinary actions, as needed.
  • Requisition materials and supplies: Requisition materials and supplies as needed to ensure that construction projects are completed efficiently.
  • Supervise workers and projects: Supervise construction workers and projects, including ensuring that workers are properly trained and equipped to perform their duties.
  • Train or arrange for training: Train or arrange for training for construction workers to ensure that they are properly equipped to perform their duties.
Requirements:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as construction management or engineering.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in construction management or a related field.
  • Language: English.
  • Work hours: 40 hours per week.
