About the Role

We are on the hunt for a seasoned Sales Representative to spearhead our expansion across Canada and the US as a Sales Development Representative.

This is an entrepreneurial role with a focus on building a scalable, repeatable outbound sales pipeline and expanding our network of referral sources within the startup ecosystem. You will be responsible for understanding customer objections and recommending tailored solutions, preparing customized proposals, and closing agreements. Your primary goal will be to build and maintain strong client relationships, identifying upselling and reselling opportunities.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Building a scalable, repeatable outbound sales pipeline.
  • Building a network of referral sources within the startup ecosystem.
  • Understanding customer objections and recommending tailored solutions.
  • Preparing customized proposals and closing agreements.
  • Debriefing our recruiters for each mandate, ensuring a clear understanding of the role before kicking-off.
  • Building and maintaining strong client relationships, identifying upselling and reselling opportunities.
  • Collaborating with recruiters to ensure a seamless search/placement process.
  • Keeping accurate records of sales activities, client interactions, and transactions in the CRM.
  • Ensuring consistent hit of KPIs/sales quotas.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in field sales, with a strong preference for candidates with experience selling directly to clients. Experience in a B2B startup or within the technology sector is a plus.
  • Demonstrated experience in cold outbound and building own sequences.
  • Strong presentation and negotiation skills.
  • Proactive problem-solving abilities with excellent verbal and written communication skills.

The estimated salary for this role is $80,000 - $120,000 per year. The salary will be commensurate with experience and performance. We are looking for highly motivated individuals who can excel in a fast-paced environment and contribute to our growth and success.

As a Sales Representative, you will be a key member of our sales team, working closely with our founders to craft new sales strategies and build outbound/outreach campaigns to drive new mandates. You will build relationships with founders and convert them into clients. You will also create inroads for referrals with other complimentary service providers.

We are looking for a self-starter with an entrepreneurial mindset, a builder mentality, a connector, a growth mindset, discipline, and results-focused individual. You will be expected to work autonomously to meet/exceed your quota, with a focus on driving sales growth and revenue expansion. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the technology ecosystem and a passion for the startup sector.
