Assistant Registrar, Records and CE Registration

The Role
As a key member of the Douglas College community, the Assistant Registrar, Records and CE Registration will play a vital role in ensuring the College meets its service standards and compliance requirements. Under the direction of the Associate Registrar, this position will manage and lead the day-to-day operations of a unit or service team, fostering a culture of excellence and high service levels.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, monitor, and implement objectives to achieve departmental goals in support of the College strategic plan.
- Manage and plan the day-to-day operations of the unit, ensuring consistency of practice and maintenance of excellent service levels.
- Evaluate, review, and implement changes to improve and/or streamline services and business processes.
- Interpret and apply policies and regulations, ensuring compliance with external agencies.
- Communicate strategies to inform students, faculty, staff, and external stakeholders about College programs.
- Represent the College and College interests before external agencies, other institutions, and various organizations.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited post-secondary institution.
- Minimum three years of supervisory and leadership experience in administering student financial aid & awards, advising, and/or customer service operations.
- Minimum two years of supervisory experience in a unionized environment.
- Ability to supervise and lead, including mentoring and developing staff.
- Extensive knowledge of government student financial aid regulations and issues of compliance within Canadian post-secondary education.
