Clinical Anatomical Pathologist

We are seeking a skilled General or Anatomical Pathologist with fellowship training in Complex Hospital Autopsy Pathology to work collaboratively with our team of 95+ laboratory physicians and scientists. Expertise in Endocrine Pathology, Bone and Soft Tissue Pathology, Gastrointestinal & Liver Pathology is considered an asset.
The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining high standards of practice, delivering prompt services to meet key performance indicators, participating in quality assurance and quality improvement programs, and engaging in undergraduate, graduate, and postgraduate medical teaching.
This position reports directly to the Site Chief in Calgary, who oversees the sector's medical director and provincial chief medical laboratory officer.
Required qualifications include an MD degree, eligibility for licensure in Alberta, certification in Anatomic Pathology or General Pathology from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada or Anatomic Pathology/Clinical Pathology by the American Board of Pathology, as well as subspecialty Fellowship training and/or Certification in Endocrine Pathology, Bone and Soft Tissue Pathology, or Gastrointestinal & Liver Pathology.

The successful candidate will receive an excellent remuneration package, including relocation assistance. Remuneration is commensurate with level of training and experience. The annual salary range for a Laboratory Physician/Pathologist in Alberta is approximately $364,597 to $424,123.
