Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Diagnostic Surgical Pathologist to join our team at Peter Lougheed Centre. As a key member of our department, you will be responsible for interpreting biopsy and surgical specimens, providing accurate diagnoses, and participating in quality assurance initiatives.

Responsibilities
  • Interpret biopsy and surgical specimens to provide accurate diagnoses.
  • Participate in quality assurance initiatives to ensure high standards of practice.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement best practices in surgical pathology.
  • Contribute to educational programs and activities to enhance the knowledge and skills of residents and fellows.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • An MD degree and certification in Anatomic Pathology or General Pathology by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada or Anatomic Pathology/Clinical Pathology by the American Board of Pathology.
  • Subspecialty Fellowship training and/or Certification in Surgical Pathology.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team.
Compensation

The salary for this position is competitive, with a range of $364,597. A comprehensive benefits package is also included.
