Hematopathologist - Clinical Expertise in Hematological Pathology

Alberta Health Services (AHS) is seeking a highly skilled Hematopathologist to join its team of laboratory physicians and scientists.
The successful candidate will be part of a multi-site hematopathology on-call rotation, working with a dynamic team that delivers quality services to match established key performance indicators and provincial metrics.
AHS operates a province-wide laboratory providing comprehensive laboratory services, processing 30+ million tests annually. The ideal candidate will have the ability to work in a setting with similar case complexity, maintaining the highest possible standards of practice.
The DPLM and APL offer residency-training programs in Anatomic Pathology, General Pathology, Neuropathology, and Medical Microbiology, as well as Fellowship training in subspecialty areas within Hematopathology.
As a Hematopathologist, the candidate will actively participate in quality assurance and quality improvement programs, undergraduate, graduate, and postgraduate medical teaching, and research initiatives.
The Flow Cytometry Laboratory offers a comprehensive test menu encompassing over 60 assays, including immunodeficiency panels, leukemia and lymphoma diagnostics, and specialized platelet and red blood cell testing.

Qualifications:
- A MD with eligibility for licensure in the Province of Alberta
- Certification in Hematopathology by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada or Anatomic Pathology/Clinical Pathology by the American Board of Pathology with subspecialty Fellowship training and/or Certification in Hematopathology
The successful candidate will receive an excellent remuneration package including relocation allowance, with a salary range of $364,597.00 to $424,123.00 per annum based on 209 days of service.
