Merchandising Team Leader

As a full-time Merchandising Team Leader, you will be the Store Team Leader's key partner in developing and implementing the Merchandising strategy for the store. Your passion for training and coaching your team will drive them to become great merchants who deliver American Eagle Outfitters brand Visual standards every day.
Key Responsibilities- Drive Sales and Revenue Growth: As a key Leader on Duty, you will be an expert at driving sales by maximizing Fitting Room and Salesfloor productivity and building guest loyalty through a best-in-class guest experience.
- Merchandising Innovation: You will coach your team to deliver an outstanding guest experience by ensuring the store is always representative of American Eagle Outfitters Brand Standards. You will lead day-to-day merchandising, sell-through adjustments, and replenishment to ensure the store stays in tip-top shape.
- People Leadership: You will motivate and inspire your team through American Eagle Outfitters' core values. You will be a role-model leader and hold your team accountable to rocking American Eagle Outfitters' customer service standards, especially on the Salesfloor and in the Fitting Room.
- Talent Acquisition and Development: You will make it a top priority to recruit and hire strong talent to ensure the store is always staffed to meet business needs. You will take pride in training and developing your team to ensure they continue to provide outstanding service to the best of their abilities.
- Team Collaboration and Engagement: You will consistently provide ongoing performance feedback through real-time coaching. You will make team touchbases, development plans, and performance reviews a priority and drive associate engagement by celebrating your team's outstanding performance.
- Operational Excellence: You will be a natural at executing and innovating daily operational procedures. You will support the team in maintaining visual standards throughout every zone in the store and ensure the Fitting Rooms are always guest-ready and rocking American Eagle Outfitters Brand Standards.
- Integrity and Compliance: You will ensure store safety standards are maintained, adhere to American Eagle Outfitters' policies and procedures, and do the right thing - always.
- You have a passion for American Eagle Outfitters products.
- You have led teams in a retail management role previously.
- You can multi-task and have attention to detail; priority-setting and time management are your strong suits.
- You know how to lead and develop teams and have a general understanding of employment law.
- You have business acumen.
- You have flexible availability - you are available to work when the guest shops.
