As the full-time Merchandising Team Leader, you will serve as the primary support for the Store Team Leader in crafting and executing the Merchandising strategy for the retail environment. Your enthusiasm for mentoring and guiding your team will ensure they excel in delivering AEO brand Visual standards consistently. With your leadership, your team will achieve exceptional floorset execution and uphold merchandising and marketing brand standards. You will guarantee that the store is perpetually 'guest ready' through efficient replenishment practices. Your Responsibilities
- Sales Driver: As a key Leader on Duty (LOD), you will excel at enhancing sales by optimizing Fitting Room and Salesfloor productivity while fostering guest loyalty through an exceptional guest experience. You will contribute to the store's financial success by analyzing reports and daily trends to make informed business decisions. You will assist the Store Team Leader in formulating both short and long-term business strategies to achieve key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Merchandising Innovator: You will guide your team to provide an outstanding guest experience by ensuring that the store consistently reflects AEO Brand Standards. You will maintain the store's pristine condition by leading daily merchandising efforts, sell-through adjustments, and replenishment. Your keen eye for merchandising opportunities will enable you to proactively devise action plans.
- People Leader: You will inspire and motivate your team through AEO's core values. As a role model, you will hold your team accountable for delivering exceptional customer service standards, particularly on the Salesfloor and in the Fitting Room.
- Talent Scout and Trainer: You will prioritize recruiting and hiring top talent to ensure the store is adequately staffed to meet business demands. You will take pride in training and developing your team to help them provide outstanding service to the best of their abilities.
- Teamwork Advocate: You will recognize that building a successful team requires consistent performance feedback through real-time coaching. You will prioritize team meetings, development plans, and performance evaluations while driving associate engagement by celebrating your team's achievements.
- Operational Innovator: You will excel at executing and innovating daily operational procedures, supporting the team in maintaining visual standards throughout the store, and ensuring that the Fitting Rooms are always guest-ready and compliant with AEO Brand Standards.
- Integrity Champion: You will uphold store safety standards, commit to Asset Protection protocols, adhere to AEO's policies and procedures, and consistently do the right thing.
- You have a passion for AE and Aerie products.
- You have previous experience leading teams in a retail management capacity.
- You possess strong multitasking abilities and attention to detail; priority-setting and time management are your strengths.
- You understand how to lead and develop teams and have a basic knowledge of employment law.
- You have a solid business acumen.
