YOUR ROLE
As the full-time Merchandising Team Leader, you will serve as the primary support for the Store Team Leader in crafting and executing the merchandising strategy for the store. Your enthusiasm for training and mentoring your team will drive them to excel in delivering AEO brand visual standards consistently. Through your leadership, your team will excel in executing floor sets and upholding merchandising and marketing brand standards. You will ensure the store is always prepared for guests through efficient replenishment. Most importantly, you will embody our company values and bring your authentic self to work every day.
Your Responsibilities
- Sales Driver: As a key Leader on Duty (LOD), you will excel at driving sales by optimizing Fitting Room and Salesfloor productivity while fostering guest loyalty through an exceptional guest experience. You will contribute to the store's financial success by analyzing reports and daily trends to make informed business decisions. You will assist the Store Team Leader in developing both short and long-term business strategies to achieve key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Merchandising Innovator: You will guide your team to provide an outstanding guest experience by ensuring that the store consistently reflects AEO Brand Standards. You will lead daily merchandising efforts, sell-through adjustments, and replenishment to maintain the store's pristine condition. Your keen eye for merchandising opportunities will enable you to proactively develop action plans.
- People Leader: You will inspire and motivate your team by embodying AEO's core values. As a role model, you will hold your team accountable for delivering AEO's customer service standards, particularly on the Salesfloor and in the Fitting Room.
- Talent Scout and Trainer: You will prioritize recruiting and hiring strong talent to ensure the store is adequately staffed to meet business demands. You will take pride in training and developing your team to ensure they provide exceptional service.
- Teamwork Advocate: You will understand that building a successful team requires ongoing performance feedback through real-time coaching. You will prioritize team meetings, development plans, and performance reviews, driving associate engagement by celebrating outstanding team performance.
- Operational Innovator: You will excel in executing and innovating daily operational procedures, supporting the team in maintaining visual standards throughout the store, and ensuring that the Fitting Rooms are always guest-ready and aligned with AEO Brand Standards.
- Integrity Champion: You will ensure that store safety standards are upheld, remain committed to Asset Protection standards, adhere to AEO's policies and procedures, and consistently do the right thing.
- You have a passion for AE and Aerie products.
- You have prior experience leading teams in a retail management capacity.
- You possess strong multitasking abilities and attention to detail; prioritization and time management are your strengths.
- You understand how to lead and develop teams and have a basic understanding of employment law.
- You have solid business acumen.
