Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled HR Business Partner to join our team at Purolator. As a key member of our HR department, you will work closely with operations clients to drive proactive employee and labour relations. This is a 12-18 month contract opportunity in the Guelph and surrounding areas.

Key Responsibilities
  • Partner with operations clients to identify requirements and achieve strategic goals through internal changes to organizational capabilities.
  • Support the delivery and deployment of HR programs and processes, including performance management, compensation, succession planning, and engagement surveys.
  • Provide guidance and advice on employment-related issues, including interpretation of the Collective Agreement and company policies and procedures.
  • Promote a safe and healthy environment and support the management of WSIB, STD, and LTD cases and return-to-work programs.
  • Anticipate barriers to success and facilitate proactive resolution to support a performance-driven culture.
Requirements
  • Equivalent combination of education and employee relations experience, with a CHRP designation or post-graduate degree preferred.
  • 3-5 years of progressive HR experience, with demonstrated knowledge in labour relations and client relation management.
  • Strong planning and organizational skills, with the ability to interact with all levels of the organization.
  • Superior written and verbal communication skills, with solid computer skills, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Strong analytic skills and proven ability to problem-solve, with HR systems experience, preferably HR SAP.
