Human Resources Specialist - 14 Month Contract

The Human Resources Specialist will be responsible for day-to-day Human Resources activities, providing support to the organization and its employees. Key responsibilities include recruitment, talent management, employee engagement, benefits administration, payroll processing, and compliance with relevant laws and regulations.

Responsibilities:

  • Full cycle recruitment for client group, including posting jobs, screening resumes, scheduling interviews, conducting references checks, and issuing offer letters.
  • Management of WorkTango employee engagement platform and maintenance of employee files on ADP and Iron Mountain.
  • Conduct investigations and ensure appropriate resolutions, as well as process and conduct terminations and resignations.
  • Management of benefit programs, act as a liaison between employees and insurance providers when needed, and process bi-weekly payroll with ADP Workforce now.
  • Main point of contact for client group, manage employee relations, attendance management, assist with policy interpretation, and run weekly and monthly reports for management.
  • Provide assistance and advice to employees regarding the interpretation and administration of HR policies and procedures, participate and co-manage employee engagement committee, and maintain internal intranet.
  • Manage Milestone program on a monthly basis, manage online Guusto platform, and flexible hours as required to support different shifts.
  • Participate in projects as required and assist HR team with all other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Post-secondary education in business or Human Resources Management.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills – capable of working effectively with all levels of staff, and 2-3 years of related experience.
