Human Resources Coordinator – 14 Month Contract

The Human Resources Coordinator will be responsible for day-to-day Human Resources activities, ensuring a seamless and efficient experience for all employees.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Full cycle recruitment, including posting jobs, screening resumes, scheduling interviews, conducting reference checks, and issuing offer letters.
  • Management of WorkTango employee engagement platform to foster a positive and productive work environment.
  • Maintenance and update of various documents, such as new hire packages and job descriptions, to ensure compliance and accuracy.
  • Conducting investigations and ensuring appropriate resolutions to address employee concerns and issues.
  • Processing and conducting terminations and resignations in accordance with company policies and procedures.
  • Management of benefit programs and serving as a liaison between employees and insurance providers as needed.
  • Processing bi-weekly payroll with ADP Workforce now to ensure timely and accurate payments.
  • Serving as the main point of contact for the client group, managing employee relations, attendance management, and assisting with policy interpretation.
  • Running weekly and monthly reports for management to track key performance indicators and make informed decisions.
  • Providing assistance and advice to employees regarding the interpretation and administration of HR policies and procedures.
  • Participating and co-managing the employee engagement committee to promote a positive and inclusive work culture.
  • Maintaining employee files on ADP and Iron Mountain to ensure compliance and accuracy.
  • Active member of the Health & Safety programs and committee to ensure a safe and healthy work environment.
  • Assisting in the administration of the annual performance review process to ensure fair and accurate evaluations.
  • Management of internal intranet to provide employees with easy access to company information and resources.
  • Managing the Milestone program on a monthly basis to recognize and reward employee achievements.
  • Managing the online Guusto platform to provide employees with a convenient and user-friendly way to recognize and reward their colleagues.
  • Flexible hours as required to support different shifts and meet the needs of the business.
  • Participating in projects as required to support the growth and success of the company.
  • Assisting the HR team with all other duties as assigned to ensure the smooth operation of the department.

Qualifications:

  • Post-secondary education in business or Human Resources Management.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • 2-3 years of related experience.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills – capable of working effectively with all levels of staff.
  • This position is a hybrid role.
