Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with Operations clients to drive proactive employee and labour relations.
  • Support the delivery and deployment of HR programs and processes, participating in coaching and guiding functional and cross-functional initiatives.
  • Provide guidance, direction, and advice on employment-related issues, including interpretation of the Collective Agreement and Company policies & procedures.
  • Promote a safe and healthy environment, supporting the management of WSIB, STD, and LTD cases and return-to-work programs.
  • Anticipate barriers to success and facilitate proactive resolution to support a performance-driven culture.
  • Contribute to continuous improvements and best practices to influence human resources strategies.

Requirements

  • Equivalent combination of education and employee relations experience, with a CHRP designation or postgraduate degree preferred.
  • 3-5 years of progressive HR experience, with demonstrated knowledge in labour relations and client relation management.
  • Strong planning and organizational skills, with the ability to interact with all levels of the organization.
  • Superior written and verbal communication skills, with solid computer skills, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

About the Role

This is a parental leave coverage position with an anticipated length of 12-18 months. You'll be working in the Guelph and surrounding areas, reporting to the Senior Manager Human Resources.
