About the Role

We are seeking an experienced HR Business Partner to join our team in Guelph. As a key member of our Human Resources department, you will work closely with operations clients to drive proactive employee and labour relations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with operations clients to identify requirements and implement strategic changes to organizational capabilities.
  • Support the delivery and deployment of HR programs and processes, including performance management, compensation, succession planning, and engagement surveys.
  • Provide guidance and advice on employment-related issues, including interpretation of the Collective Agreement and company policies and procedures.
  • Promote a safe and healthy work environment and support the management of WSIB, STD, and LTD cases and return-to-work programs.
  • Anticipate and resolve barriers to success, supporting a performance-driven culture.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of progressive HR experience, with a focus on labour relations and client relationship management.
  • Strategic thinking, strong planning and organizational skills, and excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to interact with all levels of the organization, with a strong consultative, partnering, facilitating, and influencing/negotiating style.
  • Strong integrity, with the ability to maintain confidentiality and manage sensitive information.
  • Superior written and verbal communication skills, with solid computer skills, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Strong analytical skills and problem-solving ability, with experience with HR systems, preferably HR SAP.
  • Exceptional commitment to customer service, with a strong sense of urgency and a highly motivated, self-starter attitude.
  • Ability to travel to other facilities on a regular basis.
