Job Summary

Key Responsibilities

* Develop and maintain strategic business partnerships with stakeholders, leveraging in-depth knowledge of each unit/department, their goals, needs, and expectations.
* Provide expert support, advice, and guidance on employee and labour relations issues, ensuring a positive and harmonious work environment.
* Collaborate with union leadership and representatives to foster effective labour relations, resolving conflicts and grievances in a fair and timely manner.
* Provide expert advice to leaders on the interpretation and application of collective agreements, policies, and procedures, ensuring compliance and minimizing risk.
* Conduct thorough workplace investigations, ensuring defensible and reasonable due process, and providing recommendations for resolution.

Requirements

* Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or a related field, with a strong focus on labour relations and employee relations.
* Previous hospital experience is considered an asset, but not required.
* Minimum 3-5 years of experience in HR, with a strong background in labour relations and employee relations.
* Excellent judgment, interpersonal, and relationship management skills, with the ability to communicate effectively and persuasively.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to listen, persuade, and achieve consensus.
