Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to join our team in Mississauga, ON.

Overview

Jones DesLauriers Insurance Management Inc. is a leading insurance provider looking for a skilled professional to drive business growth and retention in our Private Client Services division.

The successful candidate will be responsible for achieving revenue growth on an existing book of business and retaining client relationships.

Responsibilities:
  • Deliver exceptional customer service by responding promptly to enquiries and maintaining a high level of service.
  • Document customer files accurately, using relevant activity codes, and noting all conversations with clients and insurers.
  • Renewal review, recommendations, comparison quotes, and remarketing when necessary.
  • Promote total account sales awareness, cross-selling, and upselling opportunities.
  • Action all renewals, endorsements, and claims in a timely manner.
  • Process change requests and new business/remarkets on insurance company portals.
  • Review and invoice all endorsements and renewals (if not automatically invoiced by the system).
  • Release renewals after making appropriate changes when needed.
  • Scan and attach documents to our system.
  • Quote cross-sells and up-sell as much as possible.
  • Issue pink slips when required, along with completing miscellaneous duties as assigned.
  • Prepare new business documents for signatures, etc.
  • Support other team members as needed.
Requirements:
  • A minimum of 5 years' experience in the insurance industry.
  • R.I.B.O and C.I.P designation required, along with C.A.I.B or working towards the designation.
  • Strong customer service background with demonstrated business acumen.
  • A university degree is desired.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • An ability to work independently with strong written and oral communication skills, as well as organizational skills.
  • Advanced skills in Outlook, Excel, Word, and our system EPIC.
